Englishman, Simon Jones, is the creator and webmaster of gofromhere.com. He is the person behind the reviews of the featured search engines and the guy who makes all the decisions about the site.

Simon created gofromhere.com with no commercial goals or objectives. He wanted the site to be independent and free from any overbearing corporate influences, and as such funds the entire project on a personal basis.

"I wanted to create something that felt a little less 'in your face' than some of the big ad driven commercial portals out there." Says Jones.

"Search engines are engines because they keep the internet moving. But all too often people still can't find stuff. They think that if it can't be found in Google, it can't be found at all. What I'm hoping is that people out there will find this site useful and share it with others. Use the site as their home page, and a friendly place to start their internet journey."

A web designer and photographer by trade, Simon's real passion is to simply share his creative work on the web. He's been designing websites since 1996 and has an extensive portfolio of personal websites featuring his writing, photography, short films and even two series of audio travel-logs which have now been turned into podcasts.
